CFPA a “bad idea”

A Kansas City Star editorial columnist tells us why:

{An American Enterprise Institute Scholar} reasonably points out that such an agency would likely become large, costly, intrusive bureaucracy with expanding demands, which will entail “heavy costs on consumer financial services and requirements that likely conflict with those of other financial regulators.”
