The legislature couldn’t reach agreement yesterday.  From the story

It doesn’t look like the there will be any restrictions placed on the payday lending industry in our state this year. Tuesday legislators postponed debate on a bill that would limit the amount of loans and the time between loans. Earlier Senator Wes Hayes said it is do or die time for a measure aimed at stopping payday lenders from ensnaring poor residents in a cycle of debt. The postponement makes it very unlikely that the bill will pass before the session ends on Thursday.
