this bill is absolutely stupid. People who need loans are desperate. The next step is to
force them to steal. You can’t go to the bank and
get a loan on a tool or a tv. We aid local police
in catching criminals. Another example of
Government involved in private enterprise.
THE WORLD NEEDS PAWN SHOPS IF THE PAWN SHOPS GO OUT THE WORLD WILL GO CRAZY AND ALL THE PEOPLE WILL START KILLING OTHER PEOPLE AND ROBING STORES AND GOING CRAZY PLEASE PLEASE STOP THIS BILL AND SAVE THE PAWN SHOPS ASAP VOTE NO ON THE NEW WORLD ORDER LOVE ALLWAYS MARCO OF PAWN PROS……….
1st off i’m in the pawn industry been manager for 10yrs, and been doing it for 15 yrs.. i love it, this bill can not be pass….here’s the main reason… a customer can’t take his tools, guns, jewlery etc. etc. to a bank for a colloratal loan all they will do is laugh is his/her face, that’s why we are here so our customers, friends, and family when they are in a bind, we’re here to help with a loan of $5.00 and up depending on what shop u do go and what your needs are…a bank now a days, won’t even loan you anything unless u have perfect credit… and that’s not fair to our customers who struggle everyday or everyweek from paycheck to paycheck that’s why we are here for them, if they need gas, food, or to pay a utility bill, until they get there check, what’s going to happen if oil sky rockets over $100.00 a barrel. again.. and we are not open to help our customers with gas on pawns, then they will lose there jobs, with no work there no food, no clothes or necessities for there families….come on we vote you in office to help us… to help our neighbors, our families and friends… and that hasn’t been happening lately, from democrats or republicans you all work for us, so work for us, if you pass this bill i can guarantee, that crime will go up, really go up, and with crime you have murder, rape, kidnapping for ransoms, come on congress and senate… its time you step up and help us who gets you into your office so u can work for the people… so start doing your jobs… and think really hard before you vote yes on this bill because i have a feeling if its passes… you think the world, our country is bad now with crimes, just wait because if this passes the worst is yet to come from people who will be struggling who will do anything to help there families, to survive and live at any costs…. just think about that… sorry if i went overboard but u got to realize that this bill is wrong and senator durbin should be ashamed of himself for trying to hurt the people who voted him into office… and all of you who are going to vote yes like i said think you are hurting the people u are suppose to take care off…
Pawn shops are a service to the community. They also work hand in hand with their local law enforcement to catch the bad guys. People go there to get quick cash for food , gas, co-pays, medical ect.
Without pawn shops ,we may see major crime go up way more than it already is!!
The government needs to try doing their jobs right and get us out of this mess they got us into and leave our pawn shops alone. Quit giving our money away to people to throw down the toilet. Peggy Sandefer
