Credit card defaults are on the rise.  From Reuters: 

Capital One Financial Corp (COF.N), one of the largest issuers of MasterCard and Visa credit cards, said on Thursday that credit defaults rose in December as a deepening recession led unemployment to its highest level in almost 16 years.
