November 6, 2008 | Uncategorized | Comments (0)We’ve received a slew of comments over the last several days. Most are interesting and insightful. Some, however, are from anti-payday lending activists who don’t believe that workers’ jobs are in jeopardy in Ohio.
Let’s look at the evidence. CashAmerica announced the closing of 43 stores yesterday. Several dozen mom and pop stores have already closed. In Oregon, where a similar rate cap passed last year, almost all the stores have closed.
But when you’re an ideologue, no amount of evidence can change your opinion.
