September 30, 2008 | customers | Comments (1)TIME magazine reports that the credit crunch is moving from Wall Street to Main Street, so this pundit wants to know, how is it affecting you, loyal reader? Do you live in a state that already limits payday lending or in Ohio, Arizona, Illinois or other city that is considering new regulations? Do you use payday loans or do you just like having the option if you needed it?

My concern is bail out or not banks will be raising credit standards. So you can forget banks offering a product to average people like myself, that wouldnt involve strict credit criteria. The option to get cash fast will be gone completely.I dont think,or at least I hope politicians didnt take that into account the financial mess this country has been blindsided by when they rushed to pass hb545 in Ohio that would force the payday lending industry to shut down. This issue in Ohio couldnt be bigger now because this is going to affect peoples everyday lives if they needed money quickly. We are struggling in Ohio to make ends meet ,and a cash advance at times can be the difference between getting to work, keeping on the electric,or in my case before ,paying for emergancy dental copay(KIDS + MONKEY BARS =125.00)I know these advocates who try to tell everybody they know whats best havent been in that spot cause if they were THEY WOULD SEE THE NEED!OHIO needs better leadership thats obvious, but we also need to have financial options, and I pray that the voters in this state whether they use the product or not will see, that for some it’s truely the best option. YEAH MONKEY BARS if these advocates want to ban something how bout monkey bars??????The Coalition For Responsible Playing. It’s gotta ring to it.The Plain Dealer would have a field day.HEADLINE PLAYGROUND OR BATTLE FIELD?Bill Faith isnt monkeying around with kids anymore!
