Peoria city council can’t help itself

July 9, 2008 | Illinois | Comments (1)

We guess there are no potholes that need fixing or schools that need improvement in Peoria.   That gives the city council time to pass a second measure against payday lending stores being built:

With a 9-1 vote, the council agreed to include permits into a moratorium that also includes zoning certificates. The moratorium is in effect while city staff members develop an ordinance aimed at regulating the stores within city limits. The ordinance is expected to be drafted by November.

Hi,
Peoria is a great city in which to buy older, historic homes. These homes may not be as old as some found in Boston, New York or Philadelphia, but some date back to the early 20s.
