More payday lending store closings in Ohio

May 15, 2008 | industry, media coverage | Comments (2)

The Payday Pundit has heard that some of the small chains are telling employees and customers that they will soon be closing.

But the editorial writers at the Cleveland Plain Dealer and Cincinnati Enquirer get to keep their jobs.  It would be great if the reduced advertising revenue from payday lenders hurts these people in the pocket book.  While they’ll never suffer the way payday lending employees will, let’s hope for some measure of justice.

Ohioans are being hurt by this legislation which will cause more problems than it solves.
This legislation was not based on the merits of the issue, but rather on self-serving politics and politicians.
Citizens For Responsible Government In Ohio is working to end self-serving government and striving to make government officials responsible to the taxpayers who elected them.

The Governor has not signed this legislation as of 5-15-08. If you want to prevent this legislation from going into effect call Governor Strictland at (614) 644-4357 and express your concern.
