From an AP story…Too bad policymakers in Ohio didn’t listen to the folks who use payday loans…
Michael Evans, 61, of Cincinnati, hopes the lenders won’t pack up and leave.
Evans, who voted against the rate cap, said payday loans have helped him through some tough times.
“These loans have let me keep some money in my pocket between paychecks when I’m running low,” said Evans. “I would be hurting if they close.”
me too- in the worst way- I have been surviving with these loans while I am transitioning my lifeswork- I could have lost my children if were not for these loans because we would have had to move from our home temporarily. That would have been distrastrous
However, the usefulness of such payday loans depends on the payday loan applicant needs. For a person in emergency who expect can payback in due date, such loans may help. The condition of loan is important too. Very high interests are a drawback, but some companies are more customer oriented and even accept bad credit persons.
