Xenia, OH city council did it

They put restrictions on check cashing and payday loan stores.  Here’s the update in the Dayton Daily News

    I think one reason city councils restrict payday loan stores is the influence of real estate interests. They want to hide the fact that there are a substantial number of people in the community who are having financial difficulties, so real estate values won’t fall.

    Whatever happened to “inalienable rights” in this country? People should have an inalienable legal right to run an honest business without interference from politicians.

    And consumers should have an inalienable legal right to choose from among honest offerings being made, without politicians restricting their options for dubious reasons.
