Your government at work

April 8, 2010 | Wisconsin, alternatives, federal legislation, industry | Comments (0)

A brilliant essay from 411Mania.com, a Wisconsin political blog:

Returning to the example of someone who wants a payday loan to cover a utility bill, that person would alternately face the possibility of having his/her electricity cut off. Or they’d have to try and borrow the money from a friend or relative, which could fracture the relationship. Or they’d have to bounce a check. Or they’d have to borrow money from the knee-breaking kind of debt collectors. Or they’d have to declare bankruptcy. Or they’d have to commit a crime to get the money.
