From the Arizona  AP:

An Arizona Senate committee has canceled a planned hearing on a bill that would allow a new type of payday loan.

The Senate Finance Committee was scheduled to hear the measure on Wednesday, but the bill was removed from the agenda. Committee Chairman Sen. Jack Harper says the proponents “never had the votes” to advance the measure.
