But the name of the town–Pico Rivera–is cool.  From the story:

The Planning Commission on Monday night voted unanimously for a zoning change that would permit check-cashing businesses to open no less than a half-mile apart from each other.

The item will now go before the City Council for consideration, most likely at its Nov. 10 meeting, said Jeff Brauckmann, director of community and economic development.
