Crazy

December 16, 2008 | Virginia, Virginian Pilot, alternatives, industry, media coverage, states | Comments (2)

The Virginian Pilot loses its mind.  This is one of the most incoherent editorials we’ve ever read.  On our worst day, the Payday Pundit doesn’t sound this crazy.

Of course. It makes perfect sense that the President-Elect should put aside the struggling economy, war, and everything else and concentrate all of his efforts on destroying the payday loan industry.

Nice to call payday lenders ‘predatory’ and then note that lack of small loan providers increases bankruptcies and bounced check fees. Of course, the solution is to ‘encourage’ banks and credit unions to serve this market.

This writer apparently doesn’t understand that if the banks and credit unions wanted to serve this market, there would never have been a ‘payday loan industry’.

I thought you needed an educated opinion to write an editorial.

Some writers really shouldn’t drink at their computer…..

Educated opinion and editorial writer do not necessarily hand in hand!!
