Ballot initiative action in Ohio

August 6, 2008 | Columbus Dispatch, Ohio, local issues, media coverage, states | Comments (0)

It’s not just payday lending that voters will deal with in November.  Casinos and sick pay are two other hot issues.   And all the debates are centered on one thing, Ohio’s economy.   From the Columbus Dispatch story:

“I’ve never seen the economy the way it is in the state of Ohio,” said Brad Pressman of MyOhioNow, which is pushing the issue with Lakes Entertainment Inc. of suburban Minneapolis. “I think there’s a chance we’re going to fall into a depression. We need good suggestions that will put real jobs in the state.”
