“There is something drastically wrong here,” one source told CNBC. “The frustration level is off the charts.”

We could just ask the Chinese to print our money, save on the shipping costs.

I dare say it, yes the “underbanked class” is and will be expanding for the foreseeable future. Long gone are the days of worshiping commercials selling the idea of how great it is to have credit card debt, and that is a good thing, even “priceless.”
My credit card company (rhymes with city) has raised my rate from 10% to 24%. I have never missed a payment and never carried a balance of even 10% my limit. I would like to cut the thing up, but like most people, some purchases essentially require a credit card, so I keep it around. Maybe the overlord Warren will help me out. I am not holding my breath.
I can only see good things for the alternative banking industry stemming from the financial morass we are currently in. Alternative lenders and check cashers should prosper if the overlord doesn’t get too crazy.

On payday lending customers yet again being called “unbanked:”

Like you stated, it is silly for anyone to assume a payday customer to be unbanked. Fact is one must have a checking account to take out a loan.

The “unbanked.” It sounds like some sort of disease you get form a lack of sunshine. Yes, the unbanked are modern day lepers. They are not smart enough to care for their money. But they, the do-gooders, must find a way to save them from themselves and force them into a customer-unfriendly TBTF banking scheme. Round hole meet square peg.

As usual, the do-gooders never let frivolous details and facts get in the way of demonizing an industry that is not blessed by the PC ruling class. The very idea that the ruling class has come up with a name of someone who doesn’t play their control game, the “unbanked”, shows how out of touch they are with everyday working people.
