Arthur,

Any job is a good job right now. with 6000 jobs about to be lost , the market is going to be hurting really bad. I am sure that you have a GREAT paying job(probbily at a bank) and can afford to talk down about someone elses job.
I am sorry that your life is so bad in some way that you have to come in here everyday and talk down about others to make your life seem better and complete. So go ahead, rip into all of us. I hope you fel better.

This new law, if not reined in by Ohio voters, will drive an entire industry and 6,000 good-paying jobs out of our state.

Good-paying jobs? Like the ones provided by the Ohio Grocers' Association?

I was reading Advance America's 2007 10-K, which disclosed that more than half of its store managers must be replaced every year. The attrition rate for store assistants is twice as high. I guess the jobs must be as good paying as Wal-Mart's.

I would like to thank both the camber of commerce and the Ohio grocery assn. for their support of the payday industry. On numorous occasions I have loaned money to a customer for the specific purpose of buying food or medicine. Things happen and other bills pop up and you simply run short of money for necessities. I feel good that we have been there for those customers. I seriously doubt than any of our Ohio legislators were ever in that position. Their short sited approach to HB 545 is proof of that.
