Interesting that more the 5,000 Ohioans have given comments to the Federal Reserve as it contemplates a crack down on credit card fees. According to this story, Ohioans are particularly angry at the lack of disclosure:
Hilary Marhover of Worthington wrote about how her fixed rate was “increased for no reason to 20.99 percent” even though she never missed a payment. “This is an unfair practice and should never be allowed.”
Payday loans, of course, are the most transparent of all financial services. It’s amazing that the industry doesn’t get more credit for this.
